Tandberg has announced the launch of a new solution designed to make it easy for businesses to use videoconferencing equipment.
The Norwegian computing firm has revealed that the Tandberg Management Suite-based solution is designed to cut the cost of ownership by reducing the time it takes to set up individual devices across large organisations.
It is thought that, as well as saving time, the solution could enhance the cost savings available through visual communications.
Hakon Dahle, the chief technologist of Tandberg, said: "To realise the maximum benefits of visual communications, telepresence and video conferencing systems needs to be available not just in the meeting rooms, but also in everyone's office and on everyone's desk."
He added that that the solution would deliver "greater value" for customers.
Cisco recently announced that it has increased its original bid of $3 billion (£1.78 billion) to acquire Tandberg to $3.4 billion, while the IT giant has also suggested the offer will be its final one.
