The positive outcome of the demonstration means that Tandberg has added Cisco's video conferencing system to a list of third-party telepresence solutions it can operate with while maintaining a three-screen experience.
Fredrik Halvorsen, chief executive officer of Tandberg, said its Telepresence solution also functions capably with solutions from Microsoft and Polycom.
He added that the demonstration reflected "Tandberg's continued commitment to open standards, providing scalable solutions and protecting our customers' video investments for the future."

The protocol has been licensed royalty-free to industry participants including LifeSize and Radvision.
