The ability to allow employees to work remotely increases the flexibility of a firm, it has been suggested.
Workplace solutions provider Voxclever has revealed the benefits of mobile and remote working facilities can be vital to companies of all sizes.
However, the firm suggested that businesses should bear several issues in mind when considering whether to adopt such solutions, particularly the potential cost savings, customer service improvements and the ability to increase productivity.
Mobile working also allows companies to cut travel between meetings, the company claimed, which could boost their green credentials.
Scott Goodwin, chief executive of Voxclever, said: "Flexibility is key for growing businesses and the use of serviced offices, call management systems and mobile working technologies means SMEs can better compete with their larger counterparts to win new business."
A Federation of Small Businesses study recently revealed that 42 per cent of firms chose to introduce remote working policies in order to counter the impact of the recent severe weather.
